Harris Family
In the summer of 1993 the Harris family began! Russ and I knew that we wanted to be a part of missions in some way! So, in the summer of 1995 we began our missionary adventure. We went through 2 years of missionary linguistic and practical training. Then in December of 1998 we headed off to Mexico with New Tribes Mission. We served there for 4 years on the construction team! Due to my continuing health problems we were reassigned to NTM’s US Headquarters. So, in 2001 we arived at the US Headquarters in Florida and I began working in the finance department and Russ began working on the Maintenance team. Than in September of 2004 God blessed us with our sweet girl Madison and life changed in a whole new way! We are ever gratful for the life that God has intrusted to us! Maddie is now 5 years old and Russ and I are settled into our ministries here at the NTM US Headquarters. Here is a bit about each of our lives:
Russ: He is constantly on the phone or using his blackberry! As the team leader of maintenance here at HQ he is constantly running! He is responsible for all the new projects, remodel jobs, lawns and just over all up keep of the HQ facility. This keeps him real busy when it is an 80 year old building , 15 different departments and over 50 families who live in the building! All of these different challanges keep him on the run. Russ loves being able to serve in this capacity!
Ginger: I mostly take care of Russ and Maddie! Which that alone is a full time job as many of you wives and moms know out there! But I also have a part time job of helping out in the accounting department! I help to run the corporate budget and any other accounting projects that come across my desk. I enjoy being able to be a part of the work that goes on here at HQ!
Madison: Maddie recently started pre-school at a local christian school! She is in love with school! She is a learning machine. She will be reading before I know it! One of her other big intrests is AWANA that we recently got involved with at a local church! She is in the Cubbies group and loving it! Russ and I love that she is starting to hide God’s word in her heart!
